The Nk’Mip Desert Cultural Centre is part of a larger 200-acre master plan and the first of a number of new aboriginal centres in BC. The Centre explores architectural expression as a way to convey the rich past and the transforming future of aboriginal culture. Features include the largest rammed-earth wall in North America; the use of bluestain pine; sustainable design features and research space for the endangered rattlesnake.
